Modern Days - Junjou Romantica: Meet the Fangirl

Misaki was walking home after picking up a few things from the store. "Let's see.." He said to himself. "I think I got everything I needed." He looked in one of the paper bags he was holding. "Usagi-san's magazine, the commoners' chocolate, the --"

He felt his foot slipping beneath him, as if something was in his path where he stepped. At this point he was sure he was falling flat on the ground, when something caught him.

"You okay?" A girl's voice asked him.

"Um.." Misaki said, looking up at the strange blue-haired girl, who was now holding him in a bridal position. "Yeah, I'm fine."

The girl let Misaki down onto his feet. "You know, a boy as cute as you should really watch your step." she said, smiling.

Misaki blushed from her words. Who was this girl? And why did she help him? As she pushed the bangs out of her face, she almost seemed to sparkle when her olive-colored eyes looked at Misaki with a kind smile.

"Crystal!" A boy called, rushing toward the two, pushing a stroller. He stopped when he reached them, and took the blue-haired girl by the hand. "Why'd you run?"

"He would've fallen, I had to do something." The girl said.

Misaki noticed something odd about the boy. He was not only taller than the girl, who was very tall indeed, but he had pointy ears and a bushy brown tail, and long brown hair in a ponytail. He looked at the stroller, and saw two babies with similar features as the boy. As the boy and girl talked, Misaki started backing away, and then started to continue his walk back toward the house.

"Hey wait!" the girl called, chasing after him. "I'm Crystal."

Misaki blinked, confused as to why this girl was introducing herself. "I'm... um.." he said, looking at her. "I'm Misaki."

"Those bags look heavy." Crystal said. "No wonder you almost fell, you probably couldn't see where you were going. Would you like some help?"

Misaki cocked an eyebrow. "Really?" he asked. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, we're in no hurry." Crystal said, smiling.

"Speak for yourself, hon." the strange boy said, pushing the stroller toward her. "The boys need to get to bed soon."

"Come on, Kita." Crystal said, looking at the boy with big shiny anime eyes. "At least let me go and I'll catch up to you later..."

"I'm fine, really..." Misaki said, starting to walk away. "I'm almost home anyway." He walked toward the front door of Akihiko's house.

"Well since we're here.." Crystal said, smiling. "Pleeeease?" She looked back at Kita.

Kita let out a sigh. "Alright, if he lets us in."

"I don't think you should." Misaki said, opening his door. "Usagi-san's not big on visitors."

Crystal seemed to zip right past Misaki and into the living room, somehow landing on the couch with her legs crossed. "Don't be silly!" she said. "I ain't scared."

Misaki was now becoming very confused. "How did you.. That's not what I --"

Kita walked past Misaki, pushing the stroller in front of him. "Come on, hon." he said. "He obviously doesn't want us here."

"Who's down there?" Akihiko called, coming down the stares.

"Usagi-san!" Misaki cried. "I tried to tell them not to come in but --"

"It's alright." Akihiko said, taking a bag from Misaki. "I'll handle this."

"Hey," Kita said. "Aren't you that famous novelist? You just won an award for your recent release?"

Akihiko smiled, putting the bag down and crossing his arms. "You're familiar with my work?"

---

"Wow.." Crystal said, as the four of them sat down in the living room, drinking tea. "A grown man with a stuffed bear collection." She put her hands together, gazing at Akihiko. "You're my hero." Akihiko was sitting next to Suzuki-san, smiling from her comment.

Kita chuckled. "You've got quite the collection of plush yourself, hon." He said.

Crystal giggled. "Yeah, I've got a lot of stuffed animals and anime plushies.." A sweatdrop formed on her head. "More than anyone should... But otaku are quite common in America."

"You're from America?" Akihiko asked, then sipped his tea.

"Yeah." Crystal said, smiling. "Kita was actually born here in Japan, and we met when he came to America about three or four years ago."

"And now," Kita said, looking at the babies in the stroller. "We have twin boys."

Misaki's eyes widened. "They're your's?" he said. "I assumed they were Kita's little brothers or something."

"Nope." Crystal said. "They're our boys."

"How old are they?" Akihiko asked.

"They just turned two." Kita said, smiling at him. "Just a few months ago was their second birthday."

"What are their names?" Misaki asked, looking at the little kids.

"The black-haired one is Cliff." Kita said, picking up the child with the black hair and tail.

Crystal stood up, and picked up the child with the light brown hair and tail. "And this one is Joey." She sat back down next to Misaki. "He's the younger one."

"You seem kind of young to be a mother of two-year-old twins." Akihiko said, then sipped his tea.

"Maybe." Crystal said, rocking Joey. "I'm nineteen now, but we were still in high school when we found out Kita was pregnant."

Misaki spat out his tea at these words, fallowed by coughing. "I'm sorry.." he said, still coughing. "Di-did you just say, Kita was pregnant?"

"Yup." Kita and Crystal said at the same time.

"We're not kidding." Crystal said, fallowed by a giggle.

"I have this.. trait.. that allows me to get pregnant." Kita said. "I'm a wolf-demon. It runs in the family, really."

"I didn't know that was possible." Akihiko said, strangely calm.

"Most people don't." Crystal said.

Joey looked up at his mother. "I'm thirsty.." he said.

Crystal giggled. "Hon, could you hand me a juice box?" She asked Kita. "There should be some in the side compartment of their stroller."

Kita nodded. "Sure." He said, reaching into the stroller.

Cliff looked up at Kita. "Me too." he said.

"Alright, son." Kita said. "I'll get you one, too." He pulled out two juice boxes with pictures of apples on the side, and tossed one to Crystal, who caught it.

"They're talking?" Misaki asked, still recovering from what Kita and Crystal had told them about who carried the twins.

"More and more every so often." Crystal said, pushing the straw into the box and handing it to Joey.

Kita handed the other box to Cliff. "We'll probably be going soon." he said. "It's already getting dark out." He smiled at Crystal. "Let's head back to house, okay, hon?"

"Sure, Kita." Crystal said, smiling back. She looked at Misaki. "We actually just got a house around here, so you'll probably be seeing more of us."

Misaki blinked at her, then he shrugged his shoulders. "Okay." he said simply.

"My sisters also got places of their own here." Crystal said. "Casie and her husband decided to move here with their son for a little while, and Sami decided to move in with her boyfriend who's also from Japan. Actually, Casie is currently pregnant."

"How old is her son?" Akihiko asked.

"He turned five a few months ago." Crystal answered. "Actually, Casie and Dib were only fifteen when Zab came around."

"Does young pregnancy run in the family or something?" Misaki joked.

"Yeah kind of." Crystal said, bluntly.

Misaki stared at her. "Even the other sister?"

"Yup." Crystal said. "Although, Sami had her daughter shortly after the twins were born, and it was kind of... a spell."

"What?!" Misaki yelped.

"I'll explain it some other time." Crystal said, getting up and putting Joey back in the stroller.

Kita did the same with Cliff. "If you ever wanna come over to our house sometime, you might wanna call ahead." He smiled. "I'm in the music business. We both are."

"Really?" Akihiko said, looking at Kita.

"Yeah," Kita said. "Maybe you've heard of my J-rock band, Lost Heaven."

This made Misaki's eyes widen with a smile. "You're in Lost Heaven?"

Kita chuckled. "Yeah, I'm the singer." he said. "You've heard my songs?" He reached into the stroller, and pulled out a CD with him and four other boys on the cover. "Yeah, I'm in this band." He handed it to Misaki.

Misaki took it. "I've never seen the videos or bought the CDs, but I've heard your songs on the radio before."

Kita smiled. "Nice to meet people know of the band at least." He gestured to the CD. "You can keep that if you want. We've got plenty of them."

Misaki's eyes got big and shiny, smiling again. "Thank you..."

Akihiko stared at Kita. "Just don't try to steal my lover, okay?"

This made Crystal laugh. "Don't worry, he's married." She showed the ring on her finger. Then her eyes got big. "Lovers?!" she repeated. "You mean..." She looked at Akihiko with big shiny eyes. "Wow... You must be a great seme!"

Misaki's jaw dropped from this. 'Seme?!' he repeated in his mind. 'Don't tell me.. A yaoi fangirl?!'

Crystal smiled at Misaki. "I should have realized!" She cried. "You're so cute I should have known you'd be such an adorable uke!"

"Okay, hon. That's enough." Kita said, a sweatdrop on his head. "We'd better go now."

Crystal took out a notepad and wrote something on it, then ripped it out and handed it to Akihiko. "That's our address and my cell number." she said. "Don't be afraid to call, as long as it's not too late at night."

Akihiko took the paper. "Thank you." he said.

Kita started pushing the stoller toward the front door. "See ya."

"Bye bye." Crystal said, fallowing suit.

This was ...... interesting, I would so be Crystal but the moment I saw them I would be like, oh so this is the "Usagi-san" you mentioned before, then I would whisper in Misaki's ear "Nice guy you picked out, you seemed like the type to be an uke" that would be so funny, I would laugh until my sides hurt because after I said that, Misaki's face would be red as a tomato
