Description

I've had this drawing for a while, and the base colors were already in progesss... so I decided to use it for experimenting with the tip that :iconxannijn: gave me. I attempted using the paintbrush for shading.

I hope it looks okay...

PLEASE NO CRITIQUE ON THE DRAWING! THIS WAS A COLOR EXPERIMENT AND THE DRAWING'S KIND OF OLD! IF YOU WISH TO GIVE CRITIQUE, DO SO ABOUT THE COLORING JOB!!

I agree with *Darqx. I prefer this type of shading as well. Also, I do see an improvement in the coloring. Especially the shading for the skin. (It doesn't look as... "dirty" as it did when you used the burn tool.) I also see that you're getting better at placing shadows in the right places. The most important thing about that is to know what your light source is. It helps prevent random shadows. If the line art was more smooth, it would make the coloring look even better. I hope to see that in the future when you submit more. =]
